FAQ.
What does PaperPrice show?
Bitcoin in US dollars on a 7.5-inch monochrome e-paper panel with an 800 × 480 resolution. There are 16 views, from Price Chart to long-term models, technical indicators and Signal Overview. Price Chart offers timeframes from 15 minutes to 10 years, plus MAX; the available ranges depend on the selected view.
Does it support other coins or euros?
The frame displays Bitcoin priced in US dollars (BTC/USD). Other coins, stocks and currencies are not supported.
Do I need an app or an account?
No app, subscription or separate product account is required. You set up the frame through a local browser portal using a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connection. Internet access is needed to fetch new data.
How often does the price update?
You can choose updates every 5, 10, 30 or 60 minutes. The up-to-one-year battery life applies to hourly updates. If a connection is unavailable, the last valid reading may remain visible until the frame can update again.
What does “Daily” mean?
The change from the previous UTC day’s closing price at the same exchange. It is not a rolling 24-hour change or a return on a personal holding.
Can I see the value of my BTC amount?
On the physical device, you can enter an amount in its local settings portal. The device multiplies it by the displayed price; it does not connect to a wallet or access coins.
Can I buy or sell Bitcoin with it?
PaperPrice displays data. It does not execute transactions or manage a wallet.
What Wi-Fi do I need?
A 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network with internet access. Wi-Fi is configured through the local browser portal.
What happens without internet?
An existing valid reading may remain visible. The status notice makes clear that new data is unavailable. The device tries to update again later. It never invents current values when data is missing.
Does my phone need to stay nearby?
No. Once set up, the frame fetches data independently over Wi-Fi. Its three buttons are MENU, TIMEFRAME and VIEW. Use MENU to open the local settings session when you want to configure it in your browser.
Can I change settings from anywhere?
Settings are managed through the local browser portal, opened with MENU. Remote access over the internet is not part of the described setup.
How long does the battery last?
Up to one year with hourly updates. The update interval is selectable: 5, 10, 30 or 60 minutes. The one-year figure applies to the 60-minute setting.
Why does the whole display occasionally refresh?
E-paper occasionally needs a full image clean-up. In the current version, this happens on the next full display image after 50 successful partial updates. Other events, such as a restart, can also trigger a full refresh.
Does the display light up?
The frame uses a 7.5-inch monochrome e-paper panel with an 800 × 480 resolution. Built-in lighting is not specified.
What does Signal Overview tell me?
It brings together 14 indicators: nine directional or valuation heuristics and five model or context readings. These are not independent votes or a probability of profit. The models are not a recommendation to buy.
Can the software be updated?
The current software supports signed updates through the local portal and a documented USB method.
What is included? Can I hang the frame?
Only the frame is included. It is made from Plexiglass, plastic and wood and measures 20 × 15 × 3 cm (approximately 7.87 × 5.91 × 1.18 inches; width × height × depth). A spring-loaded kickstand supports tabletop placement, and a nail guide allows wall mounting. The photography turntable and decorative accessories are not included.
What language does the device use?
The device setup portal and this website are in English. Setup takes place through the local browser portal.
